City Community Church, Exeter - Alpha Groups
CCC Alpha Groups
A CCC Alpha Group is a group of up to 8 people - those searching for the truth about Jesus, those wishing to renew their faith, or those having recently become Christians - who gather weekly for up to 14 weeks in a Christian home to meet and get to know others like themselves, and to work together through the well respected Alpha programme.
Everyone is given the opportunity to ask any questions and to share life's joys, sorrows, worries, difficulties and successes in the complete confidence of a small group.

What happens in a group?
CCC Alpha Groups are open to all, and meet in the home of the Group Hosts at 7pm, and begin with informal tea/coffee etc. The hosts open the evening in prayer, and make personal introductions.
The subject for the evening is then introduced, followed by a 25-minute Alpha DVD. After watching this, the group discuss its contents guided by the hosts, learning how to relate it to their own lives.
Then the group have the opportunity to share a discussion on the issue of 'How my faith affected incidents in my life this week'. This gives everyone the opportunity to share joys, sorrows, worries, difficulties, successes - in complete confidence.
Then all are encouraged to take part in a period of open prayers, bringing any issues that God lays on the hearts of those present. The meeting usually ends at between 9.15pm and 9.30pm..
